Providac Capsule is a probiotic that is primarily used to treat diarrhoea. It is also used in treating irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, Crohn's disease (an inflammatory bowel disease), and bacterial overgrowth in the intestines. Providac Capsule contains Lactobacillus acidophilus, a probiotic also known as friendly bacteria (live bacteria with health benefits). It contains lactic acid-producing bacteria that promote the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestine and help maintain a healthy balance of microflora in the gut environment. Providac Capsule is used to replenish good bacteria and alleviate stomach upset and diarrhoea. It treats both infectious and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Your doctor will determine the dosage and duration of Providac Capsule based on your medical condition. Like any other medication, Providac Capsule has side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Bloating and intestinal gas are common side effects of Providac Capsule. Seek medical attention right away if any of these symptoms persist or worsen. If you are allergic to Providac Capsule or any of its components, please inform your doctor. Before starting Providac Capsule, inform your doctor if you have any kidney/liver diseases, ulcerative colitis (colon inflammation), short bowel syndrome (lack of functional small intestine), heart problems (damaged heart valves), or a weakened immune system (HIV/AIDS). If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor before taking Providac Capsule.
