Ingredients required for Chai

  2. 2 tsp sugar
  3. 1 inch ginger
  4. 1 clove
  5. Cardamom
  6. Black peppercorns

    Brew the tea leaves in a cup of boiling water for 3-4 minutes or until the tea reaches your desired strength.

    While brewing, prepare the spice blend by light-crushing the pods of cardamom, peppercorns, and clove in a mortar and pestle.

    Now add the crushed spices to the tea leaves and brew for another minute.

    Add sliced ginger to the tea with spices and brew for two more minutes, allowing all flavours to combine.

    Strain the mixture into another pot, discarding the solids.

    Add the milk and sugar into the tea while whisking constantly to prevent milk from scalding.
